Any device, system or design.
Universal Remote Control
I found the capabilities of remotes similar to this one amazing. Not only is it a device that integrates many different infrared remote controls, but it can also be programmed individually to suit the particular user, ie. Can control the lighting in the room/house, the lock at the front door, air conditioning devices and includes controls for the TV and DVD player with the adjustability of everything including brightness levels, sound and picture.

This would greatly assist anyone with limited movement or bad sight. Incredible technology used in this design.

Similar to this LifeTec also showed us an iPad application which involves plugging a small USB into the side of the iPad- which then transforms the iPad into a remote, controlling MANY household tools. This application did not need direct line of sight to operate. Amazing.
